
Sky Bet failed to secure susceptible consumers, states watchdog

Sky Bet is to pay ₤ 1m for "failing to protect vulnerable consumers", the Gambling Commission has stated.

Betting temptation
Matt, a student accountant from London, began gambling as soon as he turned 18. He says he lost as much as ₤ 30,000.

"It was humiliating to open [to buddies] and state, 'I'm actually dealing with this gambling issue.' They were associated with gambling too," he stated.

Mr Flint said Sky Bet had informed the Gambling Commission when the company had actually observed the concern.
